Alleppey can be reached by air or the nearest airport is at Kochi, which is only a distance of 66 kms. This place is well connected by rail. There are regular bus services to Alleppey, and has a network of roads and developed.

This temple has an unusual feature, rituals and customs of the temple is performed by a priestess.
